Can the M38 exhaust extension from the header to the
muffler be sourced locally?

They are already pretty high from the suppliers and
the freight will only make it worse.

Tks.

Took my old exhaust system down to our local Exhaust pros and they would build me an exhaust system for $150.

Have you checked with RAPCO your local Texas dealer?

Rapco, Brent Mullins, et al.
About the same distance from me.
That and Uncle John.

All are about a Benjamin plus shipping.

I was hoping to shave that somewhat.

Funny thing, the closer I get to pulling the
clutch the more related stuff I find needs
fixing. That pipe is bent to where it's
rubbing on the cross shaft.

Just remember the CJ3A and the M38 do not use the same head pipe! The reason they are different is because the winch drive shaft setup is different between the civilian and military winches.

I think that's what I needed to hear Wes.

Guess I'll have to take my medicine...

There are two suppliers of this pipe. Midwest Military that makes their own and the import ones from China. China pipes are painted and do not have the same wall thickness as the originals. Midwest used Aluminized tubing and has the same wall thickness as the original.
