That's going to be a hard sell with a 60 horse L134 in a CJ5. The block casting number and head casting number are both common postwar CJ2A numbers. The serial number, 4JXXXXXX is a F134 serial number. So someone has stamped the L134 engine with an F134 serial number. 4J123931 would have been a 1956 F134 which wouldn't surprise me if the number was copied from the original engine. _________________ Wes K

Thanks for the info. I must have received some mistaken information somewhere down the line. I have corrected the craigslist post. Do you want me to take it off of this site since it doesn't have any military parts on/in it?
Thanks for the factual correction.
This board is for; Jeeps, jeep parts, tools, & militaria. Trailer related for sale items go in the M100/trailer board. All other items and auctions go on the announcement board.
Minimum information you must post with a for sale add are:
1-Name of item.
2-Condition of item.
3-Price of item.
4-The location of you and the item for sale.
If you are unsure what price to ask then as a basic rule used parts are 1/2 to 3/4 the price of new. NOS are at least the price of new or new repop depends a lot on just how scarce they are. If still not sure then pose the question "How much is so and so worth" on the technical board.
For sale items that are not priced will be moved to the Auction Board.
For sale items that are listed as "Best Offer" will be moved to the auction board.
Commercial dealers:
We allow commercial parts dealers access to our boards so they can help our members when our members are looking for a specific item. Our sale board is not for commercial listing listing of your inventory. The announcement board is the place to introduce yourself as a commercial dealer and post your web site and email contact info for persons wishing to explore your inventory.
