****PTO AND LOCKPLATE NOW SOLD AND HEADED TO GERMANY****
Just removed from my M38A1, I have a rare Ramsey 105A PTO with lock out plate and shifter for sale.
I believe that this is the correct PTO setup for Ramsey 50 and Ramsey 50R winches.
sell for $900 plus actual shipping
UPDATE: I'd also be interested in partial trades plus cash for M38A1 NOS/ Quality Repro parts such as: Rear panel, drivers floor with tank well, passenger floor, hat channels, drivers fender with b/o light, all seats, top/bows/hardware, heater kit, engine rebuild kit, etc. Let me know what quality parts you have - my jeep most likely needs it!
Thanks,
Rick

I'm not interested in separating the lock at this time, however, this friday i'm going to go down to the local machine shop and get a quote on reproducing the locks.
Thanks,
Rick |

Joe Hall of vintage wiring already reproduces them. I just would like an original. It is the last part I need for my winch setup to be complete. |

Bummer... the shipping would cost a fortune to get it to the east coast of USA.
And the search continues... |

Wes,
I dont know if they can or not. I have never seen one of Joe's. I just would like an original if I can get one. |

I have read Bill_F's post and he did not comment on Joe Hall's repo, only that he was interested in an original.
I have installed one of Joe's locks, and can say that they are first class.
He also reproduced the hanger bearing that fit like a glove and bolted right up to the system with no problems at all. |

The only repop parts I can speak to for the ramsey 50 winch set up is Pat's winch frame which is very well built and the splined long driveshaft and u-joint that i got off g503 which is also very nice. |

Hello Pat,
My question wasn't intended to be argumentative. Bill F. did mention Joe's repop and I asked how it compared to an original. Now that I know he hasn't even seen one and you have installed one can you answer the question?
This question is not meant to cast a bad light on anyone's work. It is the purpose of this web site to enlighten all of us on all things that apply to our jeeps. We would all like to know how correct any repop item is when they show up on the market and the only two places to get this information is from members who have access to the parts and to buy one with no quality information before hand. _________________ Wes K

I would say with Pat's winch frame you would not be able to tell it from and orginal. As far as the driveshaft and u-joint I have never seen an orgainal one. But the repop one I have fit very well and appears to be of very good quality. I cant remember the guys last name that i got it from but his first name is Jim. |
