I have no idea that it is worth and I need to sell it. Any suggestions???
Hi, Up for sale is an amazing example of a late 40’s early 50’s M38 Flat head 4 - Willys. Still has original paint with painted-out star on the hood just as it came when it was decommissioned. No body or frame rust. I purchased it from my father-in-law about 20 years ago. Took it down to my dad's farm in VA and it was my play toy. Always stored inside since I have had it. Everything about the jeep is stock - as far as I know - except for the ignition / light switch and the air cleaner spark plugs and wires. Still have all the military plates, even the stock exhaust and rear seat. A real find for any collector. I would love to keep and restore but my father past away last year and we need to sell the farm so I am loosing my storage space. The jeep looks great and was running like a top a few years ago. Dad needed a battery so I told him to take one out of the jeep and it has not been used since.
Now for the down side. The jeep has not been run or driven in years. There was a small accident in the garage and the soft top of the jeep was destroyed (not stock) and the windshield was cracked. There is a slight bend in the frame of the windshield. It also has a slight bend in the front fender running board. Other than that the jeep is in remarkable condition. You can turn the engine over by hand, all 4 tires are OEM, still hold air and look like new.
A great find for someone looking to restore a classic military jeep.
Need to move it out in the next 30 days or so. If you are interested please email me at dcurry@cavtel.net
I don’t have an asking price, because I have no idea what it is worth. You tell me???
Thanks

Looks to be an excellent jeep for a restoration. It looks pretty complete for the age. The windshield and wingshield frame appear to me the only damaged items. |

If I lived over in that part I would be tempted to go get it. _________________ Tropical Veteran

Did you set a price on this M38 and is it still available? Looks like a verynice "barn jeep", would appear to be in great shape, any rust in the right floorboard? _________________ Chuck W.

Last I heard from the seller, he had a buyer coming up from the south to purchase. That was the same week it went up for sale.
