What thread pitch, size, and or type are these vac fittings?
I need to obtain new ones because some of my vac lines are in bad shape (as you can see the one coming off the distributor is broke).
What thread pitch, size and type (NPT?) is the fuel inlet on the strainer nut?

Those are mostly inverted flare fittings and are all listed with sizes in the ORD 9 parts manual. The "T" in your 2nd photo is the wiper "T" with two inverted flare holes at each end and the center leg of the "T" is 1/8" Pipe with a special adapter that is male 1/8" pipe and female inverted flare and is soldered closed and then has a .040 hole drilled in it to reduce vacuum loss to the distributor vent line. The distributor fitting is a male 1/8"P to female inverted flare fitting. _________________ Wes K

Here's a link to the parts database on the CJ3A site:
http://www.cj3a.info/sibling/m38vent/vent4.htm
Most of the parts have the current part numbers available.... _________________ Owen

The best place I have ever found for those brass fittings is ironically Lowes. They carry an extensive line of hose fittings even better than Home Depot or any mom and pop hardware store I have found. More interestingly is that the fittings look identical to the originals (at least the ones I have found). I am guessing they never went out of production. |
