Yep it should toggle, with a click, moving continuity between 2 terminals to the 3rd terminal common point.

I spoke too quickly, now that I think about it, I don't have a stock switch, rather a CJ switch but still the function should be the same. It just directs the voltage to one filament or the other one at a time. I can't comment on the index or click. _________________ Brett

This data of the switch from my M38A1 is the same as the M38, see ORD9 SNL G-740 page 155.
