Brett, you have (2) left rear fixtures which may be
good since the rt rear fixture is practically useless
in todays traffic. _________________ keep 'em rollin'

The grill markers look identical to ones that I bought, but where those have a wire out the back, mine had packard connectors. Could just be the remains of some old wiring harness still stuck in the plug. Can you get a photo of the back of the housing?
Looking at page 112 (ORD 9), all you would need is item M ('pad') for them to fit. And nuts & washers of course. Can't tell if both have the threaded stud for mounting to the grill, but this should be readily available. It should just thread into the base of the housing...... _________________ Owen

They look like M series marker lights.
Is that a weld blob holding the cover on the bottom?
ask the seller to shoot a picture of the inside if possible. They are usually in good condition and can be disassembled inside for rewiring or they are full of water and rust. If they are full of water and rust the sockets will be bad.

I dont know if its a weld blob. I just took a chance and dropped $20 for the pair deliverd to my door. I'll make them work. I have plans anyway to gut them out and make them into regular turn signals with amber bulbs. We'll see when they get here. _________________ Brett

Good plan. I'm working on a set trying to modify to a dual filament bulb so that it is BO and directional and can change lenses. I'll post if I can get the right bulb and socket setup. |

I think the wire out the back was correct for the M38/m38A1 and the packard style was later like the M151. My wiring was shot, but the Vintage Wiring of Maine kit I bought had the spring, contact and wire in the set to fix it. I was pleased. John |

The small unit looks like the M series B/O brake light that went above the rear light on trucks and trailers. The grille units should have 2 slits for 'cat eyes" where the brake unit only has the 1 pictured.
Likely as simple as replacing with the correct door?
