Hey guys,

I was measuring my cylinders last night and I noticed each was stamped "E" or "D" on top of the block. Is this significant?

Well, got my block to the machine shop. Got home and threw a rod in my CJ7. Now, I'm Jeep-less. Sad

Maybe this needs to be moved to the projects forum?

Time flies. Since my last post, I've built a house, had a son (our first), and rebuilt the 258 in my CJ7. I've done little to nothing on the heep.

Hopefully, I'm picking the engine up at the machine shop next week (two years!). Never tell anyone that "you're not in a hurry." Bored, decked, crank turned, etc.

I'm in the process of moving the jeep to the basement of the new home. 10' forms in the basement and better lighting should make the project more enjoyable. I've already got the rolling frame there. The boy points and says "Jeep. Fix." I guess in 19 month old speak those are marching orders.

The m416a1 trailer was used as a tool box to haul my tools from the house to house during construction. Quite handy.

I guess next step will be to start going thru the drive train and assembling the engine. Here's hoping the next two years will be more productive.
