I ran a few different scenarios in the search box looking for the correct paint for inside the under seat compartment and glovebox. My rig looks as though it was hit with silver at some point in its life. I wouldn't think it would be the white/off-white found inside armor vehicles would it?

I can't imagine it being anything other than standard tub
color for your era.

Did some enterprising motor pool or driver paint it white
to make it easier to see in?

Who knows.

Brian, I'm not sure if it was done while it was in service or by a PO? There's lots of silver on the bottom of the engine, trans and t-case also. I'm thinking it was done post Canadian Forces.

Rob it's definitely not white and I'm pretty sure this never went overseas. But who knows? Maybe it spent time in Cypress?

I think it will get a treatment with a wire brush, vacuuming and a coat of rust paint covered by some olive drab. All this in the essence of corrosion prevention until it gets it's frame off one day.
