Okay the wife dragged this old horse harness out of the barn and asked me to clean one of the bits, I decided to try a product I had heard about. It is called Evapo-rust, it is non-toxic and non-corrosive, doesn't really smell either. Got one litre (33.8 FL. OZ) for $10.
Left the one bit in there overnight and rinsed it this morning, no scrubbing, and the bit is clean no rust.

I can see that being good for stuff you don't want to remove from the vehicle, or parts that won't fit in the electrolysis tank. _________________ Matt

Well no, it has to soak in it but it is good stuff, cleaned up a couple second hand tools and a bunch of shims today. Can actually read the stamping on the pliers didn't even know it had any, rust from one end to the other. Good as new now. One person said if you soak rags and wrap stuff then wrap it in plastic it will work, not as well as a soak but well enough. Would have to buy a larger container though. _________________ Carievale Saskatchewan Canada
