On the M38A-1.....when the MP-50 antenna mount was bolted onto the left rear corner.....did it have four bolts in the side and two in the back......or four in both the side and the back? I'm gettin so sick of patching holes, if the holes in the rear quarter panel of this jeep fit an antenna mount I'm gonna buy one and bolt it on. I've got four holes in the side and two on the rear just outboard of the seam between the side panel and the rear panel. _________________ Jim

Thanks........I believe that is the answer I was looking for......and with the dimensions I can easily verify the holes. Here's a fuzzy pic of the inside of the left rear quarter panel. I'm pretty sure I'm going to find this tub had an antenna mount installed at some time or other.

There is a slight variation in the M38 and M38A1 quarter panels that eventually led to a slightly different dimension for the rear bolts and the issue of a second MP50 mount adapter just for the M38A1. There are many A1's around with the early adapter bracket and it is often bent and mis-shaped to make it fit the A1. _________________ Wes K

He is the reason I left the g503 site years ago. G503 management shelters him because they feel right or wrong he is an East Coast MV Icon and should be allowed to be as lippy & incorrect as he wants to be. _________________ Wes K
