Hi everyone,
Hope everyone is doing well tonight and having success with their M38 projects.
I am currently working on my 1952 M38 steering box and noticed the new Steering Box Horn Rod Switch Adapter is different from the original. I'm thinking maybe the new one is late style? Anything I should know? I can easily turn the new one down on the lathe if needed.
Any insite would be most helpful.
Thank you ~ Matt

It is different but the change is probably inconsequential unless you are stickler for accuracy. The only impact may be that the horn rod will have to be a little longer. When I was working on my M38 project I had to source and install a new horn rod. The rod I got from a supplier was longer than needed so shortening it to fit was required. Your adapter may just introduce a slight variation on this needed step. _________________ 1951 M38

Thanks Skyjeep50. I'll try the new one and see how it goes. I can see that I am going to be fooling with this horn rod setup stuff more then I thought. _________________ Matt, Truck 1/4 Ton 4x4, M-38 (G-740)
