Okay, another simple mystery for you folks that know everything.

This seat was being used as a rear bench seat in my M38A1 when I got it. Check it out....

When I got the jeep, the seat shown was covered in OD canvas that looked to be the same age as the front seats. It was friction fit between the rear fenders using a piece of angle iron. I salvaged the canvas and wrapped it around an old CJ-5 fenderwell cushion to be a substitute.

My question is, what did that seat come out of? It's full of bullet holes ranging from 5.56 to 20mm. That a .50 I'm holding in one of the pics. Whatever it came out of, I'm pretty sure if came from a firing range.

Thanks in advance.

Anyone? I guess it's not really important because I know it doesn't belong in my jeep, but the curiosity has been killing me lately.
