Got a repro.from John@ Midwest, trying to figure its placement on the existing brackets on the trailer. It has to mount away from the wall and down from the rolled edge of the trailer,or the lid won't open.Is the bottom flush with the brackets? The existing mounting holes in the bracket just make the double seam in the box construction. Am I missing somthing`(like my mind?)

I mounted mine with the bottom of the box flush with the bottom of the bracket - 'bout the only way I could make it work. I used an M17 .50 cal ammo box which fits the brackets perfectly - removed the leather handle from the the lid, welded the holes - looks like the real deal - Sonny _________________ 1951 M38, 1952 M38, 1952 M100,1946 Bantam T3-C, RT-66/GRC, PP-112/GR, MT-299, DT-44 Mine Detector, MVPA # 33068, PMVPA CO
I am having trouble with my photo storage web site which has just moved to a new server. Now they are just common links so you can click on them and the photo will come up. _________________ Wes K

I keep getting a "Failure To Connect To Web Server" to the links. I'll try again later.
When I wired my trailer I didn't know about a wire connection cover, so I ran the wires on the outside of the tongue frame and tucked the wire connections behind the plate that's welded on the frame. _________________ Tropical Veteran

If your trailer did not have the wire terminal cover panel or the screw holes for it than your trailer definately came with the early IV cable with a plug on both ends and the storage box. What is the serial and DOD of your trailer? _________________ Wes K

There are two holes drilled, one on the inside and the other on the bottom of the channel. And there are two pieces of angled sheet metal on the front panel for a box to attach to. _________________ Tropical Veteran

Based on your number and date I would bet your trailer had the two plug cable and a storage box originally. _________________ Wes K

Oh well, what ever it is, I bought a single plug cable and made connections to the wiring harness all with douglas connectors. _________________ Tropical Veteran
