I'm going with the Signal Stat 900 turn signal set-up
and Gamma Goat lenses.
I've converted my rt rear lamp fixture to a 3 lamp type
so i'll have marker, turn and stop lamps on both left and rt.
Question: Would there be a benefit realized by cutting back
the divider that isolates the top and bottom sections?
In the interest of VISIBILITY i knew that doing so would
iluminate the entire lense when marker lites were on but
wondered if doing so would make the turn and brake lite
functions less obvious..
Any comments or tales of experience appreciated.. _________________ keep 'em rollin'

'NO' increase in the perceived lumen output upon its projected opening by narrowing enclosure to the light source, _________________ Always Looking for M170 Parts and bits |

So removing the partition would not increase the illumination
of the entire lense??
BTW, Tom, the two lamp bridge is installed and ready to rock 'n roll.. _________________ keep 'em rollin'

I converted my M38 to turn signals, Gama Goat lenses and a 3 bulb right hand taillight with a rebuild kit. The rebuild kit had a cut out center divider (don't know why) so the entire lens is lit by the tail light. The fixture on the left retains the solid divider so only 1/2 of the lens is lit - the one on the right is much more visable. _________________ 1951 M38 |

correct,
i found through my modification of the rear lights that if you were to remove the partition, the light 'may' appear more even and lumen output value is no greater.
keep in mind the Gama Goat lens has concentric bevels (fresnel) molded on the inside to direct the lights output which makes it 'appear' brighter. _________________ Always Looking for M170 Parts and bits |

I left the partition in place and wired the two small bulbs to illuminate when the headlights are on, and wired the large bulb to illuminate on brake and turn signal. That way a small bulb on the top and one on the lower half illuminate the whole fixture. _________________ Tropical Veteran
