The top of the grill on the M-38 has a dual beaded welt. I bought one from someone. It has the metal rivets with it. What are you guys using to punch holes in the welting with? Leather punch maybe??

I just used an awl. I fastened the middle one first and then worked out from there. I used the awl to tighten the welting and then punch a hole through it.
