Hello, My 53 M38a1 had the wiring removed. I have a harness I am trying to use but cannot figure out which way to attach it to the fender. there are clips on the bottom edge of the fender and one next to the horn. The clips look too small for the main harness. Any pictures or knowledge will be appreciated. Thanks,Robert.

Hi Robert. Have you looked through Wes's album? I'm sure he would have one , if any. I can take a pic of mine tomorrow, but it is just my interpretation of how it goes - I installed a repro harness, and some wires seem longer than they should be. Might be right - might not, but it works! Unfortunately, the repro manuals don't have very clear pics.

Thanks Matt, I did not think of that. There were pieces of a harness in an extra parts box but I think it is for an early M151 truck. It has the Douglas metal connectors but in the wrong areas. Robert

I think the main harness runs out to the front of the fender - the clips do seem small for the size of the harness. I think the B.O. light wires fit in the clip in front of the horn. Again, I'll have to look at mine tomorrow to verify that is the way mine is run.
