what is the correct color of the hood rest welt, on a m38a1. i order some welting for the rest's and they sent the color black. is this color correct? _________________ 1953 m38a1 1953 m100

Mine was a dark green - bought it from Beachwood years ago. Not saying mine is correct, but thats what I have and it looks correct. _________________ Matt

Also review your TM 9-8014 fig's 54, 102, 104, 179, & 182 all show the liner very close in color to the paint. _________________ Wes K
