Q #1 original factory equipt with A/C correct? YES SW where replacements and orginals on m38a1? No. AC was original from Willys on both the M38 and the M38A1. SW were replacements and were original to other M series.

Q#2 Oil pressure 0-60 or 0-120? 0-120. The switch to 0-60 was done in the field in the mid 50's. Edited 10-16-12

Q#3 temp are there 2 ranges or not? To the best of my knowledge just the one range. was original AC in the Willys jeeps. The other ranges found came from mix and matching other M series water temp gauges in the dash) if so what is correct? For your 3/52 M38 AC 1512422

Q#4 gen---charge/discharge is correct? Yes. Your jeep came with amp meter AC PN 1501244

speedo-I have a nos A/C Yes. AC PN 1580260 M38 and M38A1 thru MD70114.

All the correct gauges will have the correct AC part number showing on the face of the gauge at the bottom.

To make your 3/52 MC gauge cluster correct you will need the cluster panel with the circuit breaker mounted to it, no decal for "fuel" and the following AC part numbered gauges:
amp meter - 1501244
Fuel quantity - 1517561
Oil Press - 1507680
Water Temp - 1512422
Speedo - AC1580260

No need to stumble over the ranges since a different range will have a different part number. Do not rely on Ord part numbers or stock numbers or Federal stock numbers (FSN) or National Stock numbers (NSN). These numbers were used to stock various manufacturer's gauges that met the same standard.
