Anyone know if their is a coupling or a tee in the vent line that goes from the fuel/vacuum pump to the transfer case? It appears that their is a disconnect about where the transmission mounts to the bell housing. I can not make out if it is a coupling or a tee. If a tee what would it be for??
That line is technically a pressure line. When the fording valves are closed and the crankcase pressurizes it delivers that pressure to the transfer case and bell housing.
If you look closely at TM 9-8012 page 124, fig 32 that is a close loop clip and a piece of 3/16 loom that supports the tube by fastening it to the oil pressure switch mount bracket. The clip is PN 807467 and is on page 76 of the ORD 9 SNL G-740 parts manual. The loom is listed on page 77 and is PN A17445. _________________ Wes K

Make sure you click on the Page 2 link at the bottom of that page. There's a useful parts database for the vent lines & fittings which gives the WO part numbers and the current Weatherhead equivalents. _________________ Owen
