Could someone post a picture or discription of how the speaker is mounted on the radio set, RT67 or 68. All the pictures I see it is right under one of the 2 x 4 mounts. Does in go into one of these mounts or does it mount into the fenderwell some how. My speaker is just a square box with a 2-3 inch threaded rod with a wing nut on the top of it.

Bill from this illustration it appears that the stud goes up through the end of the rack support board.

I don't know Wes. It looks to me that the stud on the speaker is pointed down on the drawing.

Thyat bracket would certainly work but the drawing callouts 21-speaker, 26-Hex head cap screw 1/4-28 2EA, 30-Hex nut 1/4-28 2EA and 33- Lock washer 2EA tell me that if that is the bracket then it would have had to come already attached to the speaker in the box since it is not called out as a mount bracket on it's own anywhere in the install drawings.

So John's few for sale must have been liberated from a speaker unit unless he has a part number or stock number for just the bracket. I would assume the speaker came in a box of it's own with some paperwork that may include a parts list. Anyone have any of those papers from a new speaker unit?

http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/ftw_ls_166u.html From the looks of this it states the mount came with the speaker, but I have seen many pics of the mobile PRC- 8/9/10 radios using this same speaker, but it looks like they were mounted different, so maybe there was a surplus of these mounts. I have seen them on e-bay and I think I saw them for sale at Fair Radio. Its just a cast mount, one could be made out steel pretty easy.
