I don't recall them being any type of challenge. Do you have the military front plate? I believe the civvy plate has smaller rubbers. _________________ Wes K

Boil them in a pot of vegetable oil. Be sure to suspend them from a piece of wire so they don't come in contact with the metal surface of the pot. _________________ Wes K

Sounds like I was sent the wrong ones years ago then. Mine were split into 2 halves. Easy install, but my generator loosened up last year and started knocking. I took everything apart to find the problem (didn't find anything other than being loose in the bushings) and put it back together. No problems after about 200 miles so far. _________________ Matt

Hello All, Thanks for the feedback. Yes mine were sold to me as original parts and are made out of the plastic type material vs rubber. I am in same situation as buzzk, just cant get them installed.
Does anyone know where i can get the rubber type, other option is to cut them in half like wilfreeman experienced.
Wes would boiling in vegetable oil help the plastic type material? _________________ Brian

You would need to be careful how long since the plastic will deform permanently at some point. _________________ Wes K
