No 808XXX's. The ones I gave cover 1952 thru about 58. 1960 & up also have 807895 casting numbers.
Perhaps your third 8 is hard to read or was a casting error. _________________ Wes K

Digging up this old thread. What serial # did they start with? I see that the earliest # in the database is 12017. Did the M38a1s start at 10,000 like the M38? I am trying to answer someones question about serial numbers - his is in the 16000 range, which would put its manufacture in August 1952 according to the database. If the serial numbers started at 10000, his would be the 6456th one made. _________________ Matt
