Another simple thing to check is the fuel filter if you have one...if it's partially clogged it will make the Jeep buck and kick as it gets fuel and looses fuel.

The only "strainer" I can think of one the left side is the gas tank filler neck strainer, but that's covered on section 0306.

Looks like a 45* bend to me. It's 5.25" from the floor to the center of the bend and 3.25" from the center of the bend to the seat horizontal pipe. It's a pretty tight radius...maybe 1"???
