Most likely cause is the syncros need replacing... that is a common problem when they go bad... You can rebuild it and be good to go. Several rebuild videos and cheat sheets available.

Thanks Wes, that is the drawing I am going off in addition to the SNL listing of mounting hardware...

Just that the two outer points on 6 are elevator / carriage bolts and all the rest are standard ...
