52 A1, Transmssion shifts fine in all gears. In third gear, jeep accelerates normally then about 40mph starts to scream and when let off the gas, it really gets noisy. ? Stick of dynamite needed?

Even though I've spent thousands at a certain parts place, they will not sell me a YS at any price unless I have a core! They will not take a YF for a core either.

Distributor was locked down tight. moving it either direction it still runs crappy and will die, ie it doesn't smooth out and allow for acceleration.

Embarassed Brain fart. I asked Wes this question a couple years back. His fix was to shim the right rear spring down I believe.
