Hello, my M38a1, 1953 had the same symptons and replacing the condensor and readjusting the points cured it. I also had replaced the carb, coil, and fuel pump without curing the problem. RH

Thanks Matt, I did not think of that. There were pieces of a harness in an extra parts box but I think it is for an early M151 truck. It has the Douglas metal connectors but in the wrong areas. Robert

Thanks, Wes. I have three of the plugs and mounts all were loose in a box of parts. I could not find any matching holes except the ones in the seat retainer spring. Robert
