Finished restoration on an M38A1 last year. All stock parts. Runs fine at sea level where I live. Took it up jeeping in Idaho last month at around 7,800 ft. Ran ok but lacked power and flooded out ... |

The cj3b page has a lot of really helpfull info on upgrading to 11" brakes. Have made the upgrade on all 3 of my jeers without issues. I recommend the upgrade if you drive your jeep a lot.
