Called my local NAPA to see if they carried a clutch disk for the M38, he wasn't able to pull it up .

Does anyone know what the part # for it??

I PERFORMED A QUICK LEAK DOWN TEST ON ALL CYLINDERS LAST NIGHT AND THE RESULTS WERE ALL THE SAME.

HISSING COULD BE HEARD FROM ALL EXHAUST VALVES. COULD THIS BE AS SIMPLE AS CARBON BUILDUP ...

I installed the rear plate to accomodate the starter , this past weekend. So last night was time to try a compression test and the results are less than impressive:

#1 30 PSI
#2 0 PSI
#3 60 PSI ...

The front engine plate is different on the generator engine compared with the M38 engine. Both brackets that attach to the frame face backwards on the gen set and only 1 faces backwards on the M38 .

It turned out to be a loose bolt on the flywheel to crank, that was rubbing. Tightened it up ,now it's rotation freely.

Anyone know the dimensions for the frame part that the brake return spring attaches (height/shape/size of hole/etc...) ???
I welded a piece on but need to shape it to the correct dimensions.
