Though I would offer this here before I put it up on ebay. Kem Tool T-500 hub puller for tapered axels/hubs.

Puller is used but in good condition. Threads on screw shaft are all in very good condition and no cracks around the holes where it bolts up to the hubs. Asking $75.00 plus shipping from 31312

Is this the puller needed for an M38A1?

I believe the M38A1 rear axel is the same as an M38. This type of puller makes it very easy to remove the hubs from tapered axels. There are other methods I have seen described but this is the easiest and best way to get them off undamaged. It took me longer to attached the puller to the hub than it did to pop it loose.

Yes the M38A1 and M170 and CJ2A, 3A, 3B, 5, 6 all use the same puller on the original model 41 or 44 rear axle. The MB/GPW's and early 45/46 CJ2A's had a flanged rear axle. Many later CJ's were converted to an after market two piece flanged rear axle.
