Sad ....I purchased a wiriing harness/kit for the M38. I took it for granted that it included all components needed to connect to the various items. Surely I thought, “it will come with all the connectors needed”. Gosh for the price wanted. "Wrong" I guess that is the way it is when it is the first time around on a restoration. Experience needed to ask the right questions. I'm airing some frustration.
Suggestion: If you are going to wire an M38 and do not have any of the original wiring harness components, and you have to get one of the harnesses made up, I would suggest that you make sure and ask if it comes with 100% of all the components needed.

The components that did not come with mine, are the inline connectors and the "Y" connectors which allow you to connect the harness ends up to their respective items.

I found out today that they were not included in the price of the kit nor does the supplier have any. So I have to spend more money to buy and hopefully locate connectors that aren't being made anymore from someone else. That is if someone else has them. I would not have spent the Dollars had I known before hand that I may not be able to use what I ordered if I did not already have or could not find the connectors. Of coarse in the event you do find them, expect an inflated price beyond what you have already paid.
But, hey this is normal for this old stuff, right!!

I got mine from Midwest Military. If I remember correctly, it was around $60 for all the connectors needed. Be careful with them, some are made of a barkalite type material, and they can shatter pretty easily.
