Hi Guys,

My 52 M38a1 needs the 4 screws for the lower windshield bracket. Does anyone know where I can find those? I tried Midwest Mil, Bensingers, Beachwood all the usual suspects. Any help will be appreciated.

Regards,

Paul

Good luck. My hinges and screws needed replacing and I looked everywhere on the web and called every vendor I could find. I ended up buying some replacement screws that were allen head instead of phillip. I did recently (a couple of months ago) see some on ebay but couldn't get a response from the seller, so I didn't bid. Keep checking ebay or hope that someone has some spare off a donar jeep.

Hi Lee,

Thats what I did. McMaster Carr had the allen head screws. As long as they work.

Paul

Yep Paul,

That's the same place I got mine from. Had to buy a whole box of 25 of them but it was only like $4 plus shipping. I also bought the screws (allen head) for the bottom of the windshield from them at the same time.

I'd also like to put a note in here about another place online that you can get tubing fittings from for fuel lines or vaccum lines and that is www.pointe-products.com who also sells the allen head screws for the windshield but you buy a box of 100 for $10 and it says they are heat treated. Doesn't give a grade but I would go with higher grade steel so they last longer.
