For vent lines what is everyone doing? Making there own or buying? Looks like they are just copper tubing with a double flare on the ends.. Mine are gone. Not really sure what do do..

The smaller dia vents are not hard to make. The larger dia ones running across the front of engine and t-fitting down to fuel pump would be hard to make.

Just watch epay and "for sale" section. Get old ones and clean them up - that's what I did. Wire wheel and pipe brush.

The lines were originally copper plated steel. The military service replacement for them was plain copper tubing. The steel is difficult to work with compared to the copper. Since both share the same outward copper colored appearance I see no reason to struggle with the steel unless you are building a factory unit for competitive display and judging.

Sorry I took so long to post back my wife had a baby a few weeks ago and I been busy with her and the baby. If anyone has some vent lines they want to sell let me know. I might try and make some for right now so I can start the engine and drive it. What diameter copper tubing do they use?

Depends on which tube. You should download the parts manual from our download page and print the illustrations and parts list for the vent lines. All tubing sizes and fitting numbers are listed there.

For your vent tubes, fuel lines, brake lines, I just go to NAPA and buy lines out of their rack, cut and flare and bend to what is needed. They are quite cheap to buy and are more durable than copper. A cheap flare tool and bender can be had from Harbor Freight. You can use the tools on your next project-------- Laughing

I am welding up all the random holes on the dash and fixing where someone thought they needed to cut a 2" hole where the ignition switch should mount. could someone measure out where the location of the ignition switch hole is. So I have a idea where to drill the new hole. Thank, Aaron.

I bought them from http://www.surplusjeep.com/topscush.htm They are the ones with the foam in them. But they are well made. One day I will do seat pans and springs.

Over the last week I got the air cleaner painted and installed. Rebuilt the carb and installed it. Soon I should be able to start it. Painted the distributor and reg cover. And the transfer case came in the mail today. My old one developed a crack when installing it...... Live and learn. To get it started now I need to get a new switch for the starter and order a coil and a small parts kit for the distributer. Here are a few pictures
