|
|
The time has come for the annual inspection of the Jeep and to fix some things that need to be improved
Basic Works include
1. Makeover of the Battery Compartment
2. Makeover of the fuel tank (change bottom of the tank, add anti-squick kit, add vent lines)
3. Repaint of exterior and interior
4. Installation of correct pioneer tools
5. Installation of the correct GI instruments (S-W early 60's)
Below are some pics of the first steps of the work
Will come back with more |

Simply disgusting, clean it up will you? Actually, that is a great candidate for a concours restoration. Very nice mint body. Mine is a driver. Historic, but a driver. I love to just flip the switch and go. If you get it dirty, wash it. My kind of Jeep. The show stuff is quite beautiful, but I reached a point where I asked myself, why am I paying to enter my expensive Jewel so others can see it for free? Why haul it 100's of miles and wash and dust it so I can pay for others to see it? Sorry for the rant, but I've moved on. John |

Well sorry for giving the wrong idea but mine is a runner to, I just want it to be in an excellent mechanical shape also
I have done more than 10000 miles the last 3 year and believe me I don't hesitate to push her.
I just like to think that push it like $&% and offer the maintenance that she worthies...

Hi Scott
Jusst ordered them from George (army jeep parts)
I have a feeling though that the positive terminal should be constructed the opposite way... |

your right, the reason you want the correct one is so you can remove the battery cap to check the water the way those mount defeats the purpose. Thanks for the info, Scott |
