Can anyone tell me if you are supposed to cut the two round rods of the rear seal kit, flush or just let the oil pan push them down on the Fhead engine ? RH

Don't cut - They are supposed to project from the block and be compressed by the oil pan - they will then expand in their holes and secure the seal.

Go to downloads and download the manual it has all the tech info you need here is the link for the manual. page 87 of this manual has the answer you ask. it says to cut it at 1/4 inch. These downloads are free to members.
