It is pretty. It does have the big gun. It has an antenna but no radio. I suppose they plug the antenna into the gun and fire it remotely! Laughing

Accuracy??

1-Front shackles incorrect.
2-Antenna mount bracket is installed upside down.
3-Grab handle on passenger side of windshield!
4-Steering damper!
5-Brush guards on headlights backwards.
6-Very bad fit of left fender.
7-Extra holes in grill and lower right corner bent.
8-Markings totally inaccurate.
9-Wrong tranny stick boot.
10-Tailgate chains instead of bolts.
11-Upper door canvas strips but no lowers.
12-Wiring harness has a lot of modern plastic conduit.
13-Wrong plug wires.
14-Carb, air cleaner, oil filter and exhaust manifold wrong color.
15-Wrong oil filter.
16-Rear seat back lock tabs missing.
17-Hand crank added on inside of tailgate.
18-Unusual switches and etc on dash.
19-Screws instead of rivets on the repop data plates.
20-Incorrect machine gun pedestal.
21-Exhaust incorrect.
22-Rear axle brake line clamps missing.
23-Rear brake line from master cyl back not inside frame rail.
24-Wood reinforcement bar missing from front bumper.

Looks like 23070 Gillespie paint instead of USMC Forest Green. Also Marine stenciles were yellow.

Looks like from the keys in the dash that it's also a 12V system instead of the original 24V. Not sure if it has the pressurized fording system either....

Like the sign says, a real head-turner. But is that towards the jeep, or away from it? Mr. Green

It is worth noting that the advertisement comes for the sales broker not the restorer or any other M38 knowledgeable person.

Is it just me, or do the pictures make it look like a really well built 1:6 model or similar... by the first picture, I'd expect it to show up on a pallet and be put in an office...
