I've received some pictures of an M38 for sale, and one of the pictures shows a neatly capped hole on the cowl top near the battery box. I haven't been able to make the trip to examine the jeep in person, so all have to go on is the photo. Was there a military purpose for this modification? I can't seem to remember seeing this before. (maybe I'm just having another Senior moment?) Thanks!
