Any suggestions on what a 60's vintage Hurricane Engine is worth?? It was pulled out of a willys truck and was descirbed to me asRunning but being tired , hard starting , blows oil, and wore out. It does not have the tranny on it and the clutch is out but the engine is complete with carb.
Would these parts work on the jeep engine?? any suggestions? Thanks Russ
The complete engine fan to flywheel (includes carb, manifolds, generator, starter, distributor, coil, spark plug wires and plugs, fuel pump, oil pump, vac and pcv plumbing, covers, oil pan, fan, water pump, flywheel, and front mount plate with all pulleys still installed) in dire need of an overhaul is a core value engine. Anywhere from $150 to $300. If it is stock from a 1960's truck it will have the wrong front mount plate and carb linkage for our jeeps and all it's electrical will be 12 volts and non-waterproof. The carb will not be correct.
If you have less then a complete power plant package just look up exchange prices on the missing accessories and divide that by two and subtract that from the $150 to $300 figure. _________________ Wes K
