Hello All,

For those who have never seen my M38CDN, here is a picture taken in July 2010.

Another one taken last summer.

Cheers

You have a very nicely done M38CDN. Did the Canadian Army actually use bridge plates on 1/4 ton jeeps? I have never seen one used in the Active Duty US Army on anything that light.

Actualy on the Mercedes G-Wagon, they don't have bridge plate and I believe it's the same with the other vehicles in active duty.

Cheers from Canada

Unfortunaly no but this P-51 is owned by a friend near Ottawa. He's member of the Vintage Wings of Canada and click on the following link to see their website. http://www.vintagewings.ca/en-ca/home.aspx

Cheers from Canada

Nice! Did Canadian M38's come with WW2 style door safety straps? Also who made the tires? Goodyear? They have the points in the tread. Thanks for the pictures! John

Hello John,

As the US M38s, CDN M38s didn't have door safety straps. However, some retrofits were allowed and when I bought this jeep in 2002, the old straps were still there. She also had her brace kit rear suspension to support the recoiless 106 mm gun. Tires are Denman brand.

Cheers
