Has anyone notice the MD Juan post on other sites by the Mr Rommel Juan? Hopefully something will come out of it.

Hmm, a link or a brief description of what you speak of would be most helpful.

Good of you to bring this topic up with a reference to Rommel's comments.

The tubs are not so bad today and most cases fit problems are in the ball park. A slip in and bolt it down fit is not possible but it is close. I look at their facilities and I really do not see a factory tub jig for each model jeep. This does put them at a slight disadvantage and combined with the fact they must reverse engineer the product makes it very difficult for them to please the entire market base. Using a 40 or 50 year old tub as a model for engineering to draw replacements tubs on is obviously going to lead to errors. Very small errors of less the 1/4" can result 2" or more errors some distance away from the original erred point.

Nice of management at MD Juan to stick their head up out of the fox hole and field the questions.

Thanks Brett. Interesting thread. I am intrigued to see what Mr. Juan may do with all the feedback.

I am quite impressed with the mature nature of the discusion. They do seem like they want to make a better product.

I too am impressed with the desire to improve their product. That's just good business. Don't forget, they make M38 bodies too! If anyone has one and has issues, now is the time to help correct them. Your input is needed. John

Also remember there is a serial number on the cowl, driver's side, just outboard of the hood hinge in the recessed area. Mention serial and model when posting issues.
