I have a new (to me) rebuilt box and column. Is the easiest way to get the box out to come up through the floor as in the 8014? Or is there an easier method? Get it on a hoist and drop down? Remove the fender (assuming I can) and out the side?

Thanks for any pointers...
Warren

Pull the steering wheel and drop it out the bottom.

Or invite 5 guys over for a cold one, line them up on the left side of the jeep and have them pick the left side up waste high while you slide the steering assembly out.

Must have been reaching for their cell phone like the MBTA bus driver Sunday AM that drove her bus through a guard rail over the Mass Pike. Kind of looks the same!

Unfortunately there was no way the column and box were coming out the bottom without removing thr mc, exhaust, we'll just about everything... Out through the floor...

New (rebuilt in June 1985 for the Canadian Forces) one in and new front springs and shackles... Almost a new vehicle now... Just need rear springs, tires, windshield hinges, hood hinges, various switches, etc, etc...
