Keep in mind this is a civilian owned jeep and not a direct release from any government agency. Gov. Liquidations has expanded it's field of customers that feed it's auctions to fleet operators and private owners.

Also note that even though dash plates and patent plate indicate a US built M38A1 it does have subtle CDN features IE the CDN style chain eyes at the Pintle, the headlight guards and the convoy light switch. I could not find any evidence of a stamped CAR # on the left front frame rail. Possibly a resto by someone who liked the CDN options.
