Richard,
Here is a double hose fitting A1 dipstick tube.

Thanks Wes. I posted pics of this machine at:
http://www.willysmjeeps.com/v2/modules.php?set_albumName=album499&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php

Well, everything is mis-plumbed but I can finally see how it should be as far as the PCV valve goes as well as the missing oil filter.

One thing puzzles me though. The air-filter setup image you posted is the same one in my service manual and the same one I have seen in a few other places. But neither the oil filler tube or air cleaner on this CJ have any tube you can connect them with. Looking at eBay I see both air-filters with the connector and without the tube..like this one. Either I have some mis-matched parts or there was an option without connecting the oil filler tube to the air-filter.

The other puzzle is the top valve cover. It's made to have a hose from somewhere connected to it but I find no pics anywhere showing this. And again I find valve covers both without and with this connector on top on eBay.

I do not find an owners manual or parts manual either...probably some of that rare unobtainium by now. Smile

I've ordered the piping to get the PVC valve plumbed correctly ... and not that it should effect the idle found an oil filter too. Makes me feel better about the oil.

Thanks Brian and Wes.....Sure appreciate your insights!

Richard,
I believe the two fitting oil filler goes with the valve cover with fitting and the
other line to the air cleaner.

Also note Wes' post regarding two variations of the oil filler vent tubing,
on both the M38A1 and the CJ5.

As old as these vehicles are the chances of finding one in the factory
configuration are none. No slim involved.

The air cleaners are cheaper and more readily available than the M38.
At least you have that going for you.
