| Guys what's a going price for any of the RT-66/67/68 radios? I'd like o put one in my Jeep and don't have a clue what they go for. I found a couple for sale at a museum but don't want to over pay. |

The problem with buying any used military radio system is does it work correctly. Thr RT-68 in itself is not a useable radio unless you have an old military bench testing rig. The RT-68 is the Reciever/Tramsmitter only which needs a mount, control box, antenna and power supply to function.
Here's a VRC-8 system which differs from the VRC-9 & VRC-10 only in the RT used. An RT-68 would be used in a VRC-10.
The VRC-8 (RT-66) is for Armor units, VRC-9 (RT-67) is for Artillery units. and VRC-10 (RT-6 is for infantry units.

If I was wanting one I would think that's fare, You can always pick one up
Anywhere right?
I've paid much more for a lot less in working on my Old Iron.
Maybe I'm just old and crazy?

If you want one just for show, you can get one much cheaper... watch eBay and you can find them there... your BIG problem is going to be the mount... A MT-299 Mount is very expensive... the rest of the setup is not bad providing you do not want or care if it works...
I have a working (Semi) set up on my M-38CDN (I know it is not correct for the CDN), but being a Amateur radio operator the RT-68 will work in one of the ham bands (50 Mhz) and so that is why I went that direction...
My problem is the receiver works, but every time I get the TX to work I pt it in the jeep and hit a bump and the TX goes out, Have not found what is causing the problem... YET.

Go to Fair Radio Supply on line. You will see what they are listed for on Phil's website. The transceiver is the easy part. Finding the MT299 mount will prove very difficult and expensive if found.

| I can pretty much guarantee he has no NOS RT68.People are selling depot rebuilds as NOS when they are not.The few of the new RT66,67,68 and power supplies were given to friendly foreign governments when they removed from US inventory.I would not give more than $100 for a nice depot rebuild.Depot rebuilds are quite common but they are not NOS. |
