I am looking for a NOS or descent take off for my 1951 M38. Someone cut both the battery tray and regulator mount off. I am located in Western Washington. Thanks.

I would suppose then that you are needing:

All of these!

Battery support assy.

Just a heads up the CJ3A battery support is too tall!

The regulator support frame & tray can be tough to find. Most folks just fabricate new ones.

Here's a starter shot. Lots more in my photo album: http://www.willysmjeeps.com/v2/modules.php?set_albumName=Wes-Knettle&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php

Specifically the frame sub album for the m38: http://www.willysmjeeps.com/v2/modules.php?set_albumName=album228&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php

Shield/plate

Then there are the numerous items that bolt to the top of these supports.

Correct Wes. I could fabricate the voltage regulator mount (most likely) myself. I do have the opportunity to pick up a frame that has the battery tray on it already. I would have to remove and replace on mine.

Are the A1 brackets the same?

Mikec was scrapping an A1 frame and they may
be there.

You could probably make them work. They fasten to the frame differently. And they have two different part numbers.

I picked up this battery tray for my M38 and welded it on the frame and it fits great...I think it is for a CJ-3B.

I'll post pictures once I get them uploaded.

I used those measurements years ago to make my M-38 CDN Regulator mount was very easy to do, I used Oxy Acetalene to heat the metal to bend then welded it up...
