On my M38a1 speedo the drive cable has different ends one is square and the other is a long pointy one. which end goes where , to trans and to the speedo. 71 M38a1 cdn 3 c Rob Thanks in advance

Square in the speedo and pointy long one with small fin in the drive gear.


This illustrates connecting the stock drive gear to a sender for an electric speedo but the shortened drive cable accurately represents the tips of the stock cable.

Thanks Wes My speedo is the problem then it has a round hole , must have been damaged years ago speedo was always very bouncy.

The entrance to the square drive hole is round on all of them.
