I still can't find where you posted weather your M38 is completely stock or not?

Unless I’m off my nut the pattern of screw holes will only allow it to fit one
way.

Nice looking engine compartment there!

One suggestion I would offer, is to move the fuel filter to before the fuel pump. If you are really experiencing crud in the fuel it can and will foul the valves in the fuel pump.

Looks like a fairly early M38. I cant quite tell but looks like it still retains the firewall mounted ignition filter? Nice.

When you get that extra fuel filter before the pump where it should be make sure you dump all that hose so close to the exhaust manifold and put the correct steel fuel line back there between the pump and carb bowel inlet. The M38 had two different steel line routings. The original was very close to the exhaust manifold and cause vapor lock. The later rerouted the steel tube further away.
