This is primarily for the M-38 database administrator, I've got a new M-38 to add to the database.

This one ended up in Missouri, outside of St. Louis, where it was purchased by my grandfather in the mid-late 1960's at an auction. The story told to me is that he and a few other farmers went in on a lot of 5 M-38's at a military surplus auction. It's been sitting outside under a tarp since 1987, so I'm restoring it.

Serial # (dash and body plates match): 15732
Hood # (original) : 2386130
MFG Date: 4-1951

I knew an older gentleman who did the same thing in the mid 1960's. He bought his M38 in Richmond, VA at a surplus auction and drove it home. That must of been about a two to four hour drive at that time in a jeep. He had it parked in his yard for years.
