New Member I have two questions # 1 I have a 1952 m38 Willys that has the numbers 18448464 on the hood. Searching the web I found another 52 m38 Willys with the same numbers. Were the numbers used more than once?

#2 Can the black out lights on the front of the Willys be used as turn signals?
Thanks

#2. With proper wiring the front lamps can be modified for turn signals.

Search on this site with the Search button above for turn signals, and go to Wes’ photo pages and look up his Turn Signal files.

You can use them as is and do away with the factory function, or swap the lamp receptacle for one that takes the two filament bulb and two wires, and have both functions.

One other option is to replace the front bezel for one with an amber, full size lens.

1 - No. You have a very odd hood number that does not match any of the hood number formats used by the US Military.

2 - The military actually has a kit to convert front and rear lamps to a turn signal setup. Just visit my photo album

Midwest Military has the front marker light repair kits and the lens conversion kits in stock.
