When I press brakes the circuit breaker in the light switch trips. Went over the wires all solid and no short I can find. All other lights are fine and reset until brake light switch is used. Brake switch checks out good. Late model light switch. Any thoughts about it being the light switch? 1952 M38. 24v

Thanks for your time

Scott

The easy troubleshooting step at this juncture is to substitute another light switch.

Had a car once that would blow the brake fuse when you stepped on the brakes. Turned out to be the bulb. Could not see anything wrong with it and it would even start to light before the fuse blew but a new bulb fixed it.

Thanks, I replaced the bulbs when I checked for continuity.
